Hey, we did a quick experiment/search, and thought it was quite interesting...

Search for:

STRAIGHT COUPLES
AGES 18-99
Within 150Km of Toronto
PHOTO VERIFIED
ON WITHIN 30 DAYS
25 Results.

Then we did another search...

STRAIGHT COUPLES
AGES 18-99
Within 150Km of Toronto
NOT PHOTO VERIFIED
ON WITHIN 30 DAYS
400 Results.

So the results are roughly 1:16

We wish ADMIN did a bit of a "Validation Drive" to help those that are legit, to actually PHOTO VERIFY, and weed out the fakes.  This community would be much better off.

Sounds a little complicated for us older couples who are not as able to use some of the tech you describe. Just recently upgraded from my flip phone, still don't know how to use most of the features.

We totally agree all profiles should be photo verified at sign up we would have no issue with it this site has become like the wild west when it comes to profiles we had a profile here a few years ago when it was free and it was an awesome site it was simple  to use it just worked the chatroom was great always lots of couples to chat with and on cam but back then when you blocked a profile they could not view your profile or view your cam in the chatroom now even if you block someone they can still view your cam when your on what's up with that basically you are forced to let everyone watch sorry but we do not agree with that yes we know about the whole private room thing but it's pretty hard to meet other couples in a private room by yourself we understand that it is a swinging site and yes it is about sharing but we feel that we should be able to share with who we want when we want there are far to many fake profiles on here and photo verification would certainly weed out many if not all fake profiles and a wider block feature would be totally awesome hopefully in the future it will change for the better we'll see fingers crossed cheers

I don't get the point of image verification. I'm considering doing it simply because I'm annoyed by the nag on the home page. But how does it weed out fakes? Personally, I put much more stock in member verification and vouches.

Image verification (of a couple) shows that both are knowledgeable of the intention of the photograph.  

We feel there are many "couples" accounts on here where the female half has no idea the male half is posing as a couple.  Anyone (especially males it seems) can post selfies of a "couple" (maybe him + his ex), or pose as a female (selfies from an ex, or even current gf), without their knowledge.  There are lots of twisted people doing this... (See "catfishing")... Photo verification is a good first step in eliminating that possibility.

Well, it seems SH heard you. LOL I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but I just saw a notice on the home page about getting verified. I wonder if it will make much of a difference. They've highlighted it on the search page, too, so that might help.

Next step is to improve the events listings pages... Or is it too soon to start asking for the next improvements? Lol

Where did the member verification go?  As a couple we aren’t fussed by having a huge friends list just so we can prove we’re real and actually a couple. We had a few member verifications that had either seen us in person or on cam and now they are just gone.  So now we have no choice but to accept friend requests to be “verified” as real people?   

They have done away with member verification. They are promoting the photo verification. You don't need to be friends with anyone to do that.

@Annaandbruno24 - We too had almost a dozen member verifications from 'meet-and-greets', and they are all lost as well   Strange, the "vouches" have stayed... Weird... Not sure how a "vouch" has higher status than a 'verification', but seems the admins have made their decision.

@Friends4Life ~ Vouches have higher status because you do need to become friends. It was too easy to verify someone you didn't even know. Vouches are more reliable because you have to be friends and they have a comment attached. People are less likely to fake a vouch.

Oh well, guess we just start over. Would have been nice to still have the member verifications but we understand the decision admins made

I believe member verification is a good move i have not done it yet but most likely will it will eliminate a lot of issues i think with fake profiles and dishonest people that everyone here has experienced at one time or another cheers and happy hunting. 

If i open a second account I can vouch for myself, it proves nothing and lots of single males do that. We have a similar approach to HappyAgain, it weeds out the single scumbags pretty quickly, even without a picture a 4 way chat goes a long way. Of course there's nothing like meeting in person which is why we don't over invest in the online chatting, we've found it to be a time waste. All of the above are the reasons we started organizing events...so people could meet in person.

Yes, thanks HappyAgain, reverse image search definitely does help weed out some fakes... 

We use the "TinEye" plug-in (it also has a web-interface if you prefer) which in our experience (doing side-by side comparisons with GIS) has provided better results (give it a try!)

And Mr OFL, True, thanks!, We generally check out the vouches, and see who (if anyone) vouched for the vouchers! lol. (Follow the vouch-chain!)
We've spotted exactly what you describe, and it's a total give-away when both the couples account, and the single-male account that vouched for them were opened on the same day!  Didn't think we'd have to employ these tactics when we started on this journey...

So far, the best way to meet people, is through events, as you know everyone there isn't hiding behind their computer screen! 

This is a good reminder to send in a verif. In the busyness of Life small things like get overlooked. Especially after a 12 hr work shift. Marker pen, paper- write out the required sentence, take selfie 2-shot, save to album, upload to SLS per instructions.
