Verified members

It always amazes me just how few members are verified. It is such an easy and simple process yet so many don't bother. For us seeing that green check mark means the couple/single has took the time to do it and does give some comfort that they are not some basement dwelling serial killer trying to lure us to a slow and painful death from rectal pineapple insertion.(trust me...you are gonna see this happen in a new spin off of Dexter).  And yes the system could be cheated or circumstances change over time  but generally its a good 1st step to trusting a person/persons.

SO if you are not Verified...why have you not bothered?  Is it not a concern for you as a couple/single if others you contact have/don't have a green check mark?

Wow I thought this would be a really hot topic  strange nobody seems to be commenting on this I think you raise a very good point verification should be very important to everybody for many reasons I my self did not do it I guess mainly because it wasn't required and like a lot of people I am a bit on the shy side but surely not a serial killer to be honest there seems to be a lot of questionable profiles here couples and singles alike I have interacted with both from time to time you see complaints all the time in chat  about fake profiles single men running a couple account is a common one I think the only way verification will make any difference here is if it is mandatory and performed at sign up meaning no photo verification no admittance to site that would eliminate many issues in my opinion will we ever see who knows but I think it would be a good thing for the site and would make people a lot more comfy putting themselves out there for all the world to see.

Agree with the OP.  Wish more people bothered to complete the process so we can slowly weed out the fakes and flakes.

After having experienced many fakers on multiple sights when I came here and decided to seriously start getting involved I became a member and got verified. Still haven't figured out how I want to twerk my profile but at least others know I'm real.

click your name at the top of the screen, a drop down menu will appear. The verify option is there.

LOL while I was clicking through the site, I see if you click on your profile it has a "get verified" link on the profile. DUH sorry guess I could have looked before asking 

Agreed,sometime we only search for verified profiles.

Got verified a while ago this site is great for meeting yes their is couples on here filters work well to get rid of single guys from swamping your profile.

It is nice to know that there are real people in here ,as verified members

With the demise of "that other site" I expect a lot more people will surface here and "verified" will become more important to weed out the fakes n flakes

Keep in mind you cannot post until you pay, why I am posting here. All the legacy members like me are just waiting it out.

You can respond to booty calls. Trial members pretty well have access to nothing so pay to play for them. I guess they are tempted by the legacy members.

@ronmarie, you might be waiting it out...others (most?) have abandoned the sinking ship. Your posts make me think of The Monty Python "Dead Parrot" skit and you're the shop keeper. Not meant as an insult, it's just an observation.

Where do you get verified on app version? I agree… we’d love if this was a must, we had so many creepy messages… and pretty sure many fakes

It gives the moderators proof that the media is the same people on the profile and not someone else's media. Not just a person pretending to be someone else. Knowing someone or/a couple has verified their account shows to other members they are proven to be real.

I agree that everyone should be verified. I know that in today's AI world it may be easily faked but still it means a certain assurance when searching for people that are real in the sea of fake accounts.
