They were holding hands and stood at the entrance looking around the coffee shop trying to spot us based on the pics we shared. My wife and I looked at each other and grinned. For the next 10 minutes, I waited to hear her code word, it was sweet torture. "Have you ever been to Australia" she asked the husband. Of course, he didn't know that it was the signal that she wanted him to go "down south", instead he talked about a trip they had taken a few years back.

I didn't fill the space with another question or comment. We walked in silence for a bit catching up to our partners.
